5 And, when you pray, do not be as the hypocrites, since they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the plaza corners, so that they might be apparent to men. Amen, I say to you, they fully have their wage. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your chamber and, after closing the door, pray to your father who is in secret, and your father who sees in secret will reward you. 7 And while you are praying do not use repetitious words just as the gentile peoples, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, therefore, for your father knows what you need before you ask him.
