15 But Simon Peter was following Jesus, along with another disciple. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and he went in along with Jesus inside the courtyard of the high priest, 16 but Peter was standing outside toward the door. The other disciple, then, the one known of the high priest, went outside and spoke to the doorkeeper, and he brought Peter in. 17 The servant girl, the doorkeeper, says therefore to Peter: Are you not also from among the disciples of this man? He says: I am not. 18 And the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a charcoal flame, since it was cold, and they were warming themselves. And Peter was also with them, standing and warming himself.

[....]

25 And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him: Are you not also from among his disciples? He denied it and said: I am not. 26 One from among the servants of the high priest, being a kinsman of the one whose ear Peter had cut off, says: Did I not see you in the garden with him? 27 Again then Peter denied it. And straightway a cock crowed.
