Luke 1.26-38.

26 But in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God into a city of Galilee whose name was Nazareth, 27 toward a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, from the house of David, and the name of the virgin was Mary. 28 And he came in toward her and said: Greetings, blessed woman. The Lord is with you. 29 But she was troubled by this word and was reasoning out what kind of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her: Do not fear, Mary, for you found grace with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in the womb and will bear a son, and you will call his name Jesus. 32 This one will be great, and he will be called the son of the most high, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will be king over the house of Jacob unto the ages, and of his kingdom there will be no end. 34 But Mary said toward the angel: How is this, since I know no man? 35 And the angel answered and said to her: The holy spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you, on which account the holy begotten one will be called the son of God. 36 And behold, Elizabeth your kinswoman has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her called sterile, 37 because with God no word will be impossible. 38 And Mary said: Behold, the servant of the Lord. May it happen to me according to your word. And the angel went away from her.
{Matthew 1.20-21.}
{20 Ταῦτα δὲ αὐτοῦ ἐνθυμηθέντος ἰδοὺ, ἄγγελος κυρίου κατ᾿ ὄναρ ἐφάνη αὐτῷ, λέγων· Ἰωσὴφ, υἱὸς Δαυίδ, μὴ φοβηθῇς παραλαβεῖν Μαρίαν τὴν γυναῖκά σου, τὸ γὰρ ἐν αὐτῇ γεννηθὲν ἐκ πνεύματός ἐστιν ἁγίου· 21 τέξεται δὲ υἱὸν, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰησοῦν, αὐτὸς γὰρ σώσει τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν.}
{20 But when he had considered these things behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying: Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which has been born in her is from the holy spirit. 21 But she will bear a son, and you will call his name Jesus, for he himself will save his people from their sins.}
