Character set options.

The keymap for Greek loosely follows the standard set by the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, with the exceptions of the uppercase letters (the difference is detailed below) and the archaic forms and extended breathings and accents.

Option 1. All uppercase and lowercase letters, breathings and accents, extended breathings and accents, punctuation, and textual marks are available.
Option 2. Uppercase and lowercase letters, breathings and accents, punctuation, and textual marks are available.
Option 3. Uppercase and lowercase letters, punctuation, and textual marks, except the macron (ᾱ) and the breve (ᾰ), are available.
Option 4. Only uppercase and lowercase letters and textual marks, except the macron (ᾱ) and the breve (ᾰ), are available.

Uppercase letters.

The keystrokes for uppercase letters differ from those of the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae in that they are produced, as with most fonts, by shifting and striking, whereas uppercase letters in the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae font are produced by following the letter with an asterisk.

Textual marks.

Textual scholars use an underdot to express uncertainty about the proposed reconstruction of a single letter in an ancient manuscript. The overstrike marks the abbreviation of a nomen sacrum. Brackets enclose reconstructed text. Brackets also enclose synoptic parallels that are out of order, while braces enclose synoptic passages that contain similar material but cannot be considered parallel.
