Αλλ ει και πασχοιτε δια δικαιοσυνην μακαριοι.

But, even if you should suffer for the sake of justice, you are blessed.

Ει ονειδιζεσθε εν ονοματι Χριστου, μακαριοι, οτι το της δοξης και το του θεου πνευμα εφ υμας αναπαυεται.

If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, since the spirit of glory and of God upon you rests.

Both of these verses are classified amongst the sayings of Jesus outside the four gospels.

But be gentle, since the gentle will inherit the earth.

§ Barnabas 19.4b:

Εση πραυς, εση ησυχιος, εση τρεμων τους λογους ους ηκουσας. ου μνησικακησεις τω αδελφω σου.

Be gentle, be quiet, be trembling at the words that you have heard. Do not bear a grudge against your brother.

Jesus said: Blessed are they who have been persecuted in their own minds. They have of a truth known the father. Blessed are the hungry, so that they may satisfy the belly of him who desires.
